Amy & Levi's Wedding 4-12-14

I have known Amy for over 7 years now and Levi around 9 years. Before I post any photos of their BIG day, I have to tell you how I met Amy. Levi is my husband's cousin and they were roommates when we were all in college. Eventually my husband and I moved in together and RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Amy. Little did we know that Amy and Levi had already met. Levi finally mentioned to us that he met this girl named Amy and showed us what she looked like on Myspace...yes Myspace! After we decided that she was cute, we realized that she was our next door neighbor. PERFECT!! Now we just had to set up a meeting. We just happened to be having a BBQ at our house and Amy just happened to be sitting outside on her doorstep reading, so my husband made his way across the street and invited her over. She accepted the invite and the rest is history. I am so blessed to get to be a part of their special day. They chose Emerald Valley Event Center which was perfect for them. In fact, everything was perfect about that day down to the weather, which was sunny and just right. We all know that the weather in this area in April is not always like that.
Upon entering Emerald Valley, Amy & Levi chose a photo album filled with photos and memories of their relationship. People were able to sign their names and leave a little note or piece of advice.

Across from the guestbook was a wine barrel table with a keepsake candle for the wedding attendants.

Amy & Levi didn't register for gifts, so the two rustic baskets with the custom made burlap "cards" banner worked perfect!

Because Daddy was in the wedding party, I settled for this cutie to help me decorate. He needed to keep an eye on the cupcakes he told me.

I displayed the cupcakes on our vintage soda crates that added some height to the table top on top of the wine barrels. There was a cute little sign to label the different kinds of cupcakes.

The bride & groom's cake was displayed on one of our custom made cake plates.

The cupcake table was made up of our vintage 3 door back drop and chandelier, wine barrels, custom made cake plates, as well as vintage soda crates.

Amy was hoping to have a sweetheart table for just her and Levi to enjoy some time together. She wanted something elegant and romantic. I think it turned out just right! We even displayed the "knot" that they tied during their ceremony.
Amy & Levi officially "tied the knot"!!

Our rustic handmade "mr" and "mrs" signs added the perfect touch to the bride and groom's chairs.

Amy chose mint and coral with accents of burlap and lace and gorgeous spring flowers for her tables.

After the ceremony, the venue had to make some quick changes to the room for it to be reception ready. They asked everyone to go to the front of the building where they could enjoy a cold beverage, the photobooth, or the POPCORN BAR.

There were several kinds of popcorn...

...and many kinds of toppings including my fav...M&M's.

Last but not least, I need to include a photo of the stunning bride and her new man who didn't look so bad himself...

These two make the perfect couple and had the perfect wedding. I can't wait to see what life has in store for them...BABIES maybe?? Who knows...but I do wish them all the best in life!!

Lucy Kay Ceniga

One of my very best friends that I met in the Respiratory Program gave birth to her precious baby girl, Lucy Kay Ceniga on December 13, 2013. She weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 21 inches long. Lucy's newborn photos were taken by Anne Nunn and nothing short of PERFECTION. I am lucky enough to say that some of my props were used in the photos. I just can't get over how amazing they turned out!!

Our galvanized tub fits this precious little lady perfectly

How much does she weigh?? Well..you can tell with our vintage scale.

Take an already beautiful baby and add a little lace with our vintage milk crate and...this is what you get.

I'm thankful to get to be a part of this little lady's life. I wish her parents, Lindsey and Tyler, the best of luck raising her and hope they cherish every moment.

Stock the Bar Party...April 5, 2014

We finally moved into our AMAZING new house and because we sort of overlooked my birthday as well as my hubby's birthday, we decided to throw a combination of a birthday party/housewarming party. We came up with a "stock the bar party" because we have an ACTUAL bar but no alcohol or bar accessories. What better way to fix that then with a stock the bar party! We of course wanted to stay with our love for vintage as a theme so we went with vintage bar decor including vintage beer cans, vintage wine decanters, old windows, vintage soda crates, and more. We had a Baked Potato Bar with all the fixin's as well as a Bloody Mary Bar...which was probably the best idea EVER! Who knew there were so many ways to make a Bloody Mary amazing!
Baked Potato Bar...decor provided by Country Chic Wedding Rentals. Fixin's included sour cream, butter, cheese, chives, and of course...chili!

We used our interchangeable bar with the bar sign as a focal point for the Bloody Mary bar. We used our old windows, vintage soda crates, cake stands, and our mason jar drink dispensers to jazz it up too.

Can't go wrong with instructions!

For dessert...we saved the best for last. Cupcakes were provided by Heavenly Delights Cupcakery... Alison, the owner, whipped up some s'mores cupcakes, salted caramel cupcakes and cookies 'n cream cupcakes. Pretty much everyone that had one said the cupcakes were "to die for", "DELICIOUS", "best cupcakes EVER",or just simply "amazing".

We needed to provide a little fun for the guests, so what better way to do that than with a photo booth. Vickie Tullar, owner of Vic's Photobooth Co. is who we went with. She exceeded all of our expectations and then some. She provided amazing service at an amazing price, and I loved that her vintage look fit nicely with my vintage look and wasn't just "any old photobooth".
Vickie hard at work!

Vic's vintage style photo booth complete with vintage trunks, lace curtains and plenty of fabulous props!

Vickie offers custom photo strips and many other custom items to make your event memorable.

The event was a complete success. Everyone enjoyed all the good eats and good fun but most of all each other's company. I look forward to many more functions in our new home. If you have any good ideas, please leave me a comment and I'll see what I can come up with next.

I'm a little behind

Hi everyone! I'm a little behind on this "blog thing" so I plan on just doing a little back tracking over the last few months. Bare with me and have patience as my posts might seem a little sporadic and unorganized. I just want everyone to see how blessed I am to have been a part of such fabulous events. Please stay tuned!!

My love for Vintage!

As an early birthday present, the hubby took me to the Funky Junk Sisters Vintage Flea Market in Portland. It was amazing!! I had to walk around a couple of times because I felt like I was missing something. There were so many amazing booths and so many crafty things. I had to be careful because I kinda wanted to buy EVERYTHING! I ended up with just a few things...

I've been looking for a baby carriage for quite some time!

Here's my amazing hubby showing off some treasures he found.
I guess that's what happens when you bring him along. He's
a trooper!!
I can't wait to find some more flea markets to hit up. I've got a couple lined up in the next couple of months. Most of all...I can't wait to see how I can use my new treasures in someone's wedding or baby shower or even a photo shoot. Stay tuned!!

Welcome!!

Well...hello everyone! Welcome to my first EVER blog post. I really have no idea what I'm doing. I am just trying to share with as many people as I can how truly blessed I've been. I can't believe my hobby has turned into a (so far successful!) business with a HUGE thank you to my hubby. It is my dream come true!! I just finished my website...which has lots of kinks to work out. At least it's there for people to get an idea of what I have to offer. Now if I can get this blog going, that would be awesome. I hope that people are able to see where my passion is and that's a love for all things antique, vintage, rustic, and of course handmade and then tying it into a wedding or birthday party or even a baby shower or photo shoot. I have been so blessed to already have the privilege of helping so many people with their weddings, birthday parties, and photo shoots, and I CANNOT wait to see what 2014 has to offer. I'm booking weddings so fast! I am going to back track a little to show off some of the amazing weddings I've been able to be a part of and some of the bridal shows I've done recently. Hope you enjoy!
